Look no further, we got your remedy. We will be turning the Zone night club lounge area into a "Time Zone" of yesteryear, back when music was Fresh. Join us every Wednesday night at the Zone for a night to sit back and reflect on The Golden Era of Hip-Hop, bringing you a mix of classic Hip-Hop tracks from the the 80's and 90's Era from East to West Coast. We will also be mixing it up with a little Funk, Soul, Jazz and Rare Grooves that inspired the Hip-Hop culture during this era. Every week the theme will change so don't miss a single beat as we reflect and flashback and feature some of the hottest tracks that have withstood the test of time.
This Week we will be kicking off the first half of the evening with:
Hott Buttered Soul DJ's Aharon and Deep Note will be spinning in our opening hours with a segment we call "Name that Tune" (9:00-11:30PM)! Ever heard a track and wondered where that original sample came from? Hott Buttered Soul will be playing all original tracks (70's Funk, Soul and Rare Groove) that producers have sampled for years and made into the music as we know it today.
And for the second half session:
DJ's Bless 1ne and Arkatak (of the Giantz) will be taking us through a moment in time that we like to refer to as " Deja Vu" (11:30-2:00 AM). Bless and Tak will be playing a wide Mix of classic Hip-Hop joints that topped the charts in their respective years. Bless will start the set off with a mix of late 80's and early 90's tracks and Tak will finish the night off with a solid mix of mid to late 90's tracks. Join us as we reminisce over some of the illest, most nostalgic Hip-Hop from the Golden Era!
