The Copal name was inspired by the Copal incense, an incense used by the indigenous people of Sourth America and Columbia. The word "Copal" comes from the Spanish word "copalli" which means "incense".
The annual Copal Festival is an eclectic gathering, of culture, art and music. It is a two day event to celebrate music, art, and culture. By bridging the gap between genres of music, encompassing rock, reggae, hip hop, ,jazz, blues, electronica and every imaginable hybrid of each style.
Eccentricity and artistic integrity is the themes for the visual art showcase hosted by the Copal Festival. The Art segment will showcase artists from around the world such as muralist, painters, sculptors, graffiti artists, and more. Each will show off their stuff by creating a piece live at the festival. Each piece will then be showed at every annual event, eventually, building a collage of art that will be interconnected and erected each year to create a maze of murals and sculptures.
The Copal will be held annually inviting Artists, performers, cultural organizations, vendors, and sponsors from all around the world.

body art, live mural painting, concerts, jumping balloons, and more.
